The white marble cenotaphs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan in the Taj Mahal are enhanced by
superb Parchin kari decoration. These stalk-like arcs in heart shaped blossoms and flowers are embroidered in silk yarn on a gold silk ground.
